The decision to undergo a rebranding process is not an easy one for any company, as it involves a significant investment of time, money, and resources. Ushuru Masterclass was no exception, as it had to carefully evaluate the benefits and risks of the project before embarking on it.
Ushuru Masterclass is a boutique tax, bookkeeping, and advisory firm targeting SMEs in Kenya. Through it’s flagship website www.ushuru.co.ke, they have consistently filed individual and company tax returns for many Kenyans.

Brand Manual
One of the key drivers behind the decision to rebrand was the increasing competition in the market. With the rise of digital technology and the ease of access to information, SMEs were becoming more aware of the importance of tax compliance and seeking out providers who could offer them reliable and affordable services. Ushuru Masterclass recognized that it needed to differentiate itself from competitors and better connect with potential clients.
Before Ushuru Masterclass approached us for their rebranding project, the company only had a logo. They didn't have any consistent branding elements, such as a color palette, typography, or brand patterns. Therefore, we created a comprehensive set of branding deliverables, which included business cards, letterheads, branded envelopes, staff tags, a company profile, office branding, social media templates, rollup banners, outdoor posters, and billboards which were designed to promote the company's services in high-traffic areas, and a brand manual. Each of these deliverables played a crucial role in establishing a consistent and professional brand image for Ushuru Masterclass.
Among all the branding deliverables, the brand manual was the most important. A brand manual, also known as a brand style guide, is a document that outlines the guidelines for using a company's branding elements. It covers all aspects of the brand, from the logo and color palette to typography, imagery, and tone of voice. The brand manual ensures that all branding elements are used consistently across all touchpoints, including digital and physical assets. This consistency helps to establish a strong brand identity, increase brand recognition, and enhance the company's professionalism and credibility. Therefore, the brand manual played a crucial role in ensuring that Ushuru Masterclass's new brand image was applied consistently across all marketing materials.
